Items reside under base types 1 through 10. Each base type has up to 10,000 unique types. Each person, place, organization and activity in the database receives a TypeID ranging from 0 to 99999. Custom catalog products range from 100,000 to 999,999. Values of 1,000,000 and above are reserved for custom types unique to a specific site or database deployment.
